Express-1 Expedited Solutions said its first-quarter profit climbed 34% to $1.1 million, or 3 cents per share, from $834,000, or 3 cents, a year ago.

Express-1 Expedited Solutions’ second-quarter profit rose to $1.5 million, or 5 cents per share, from $288,000, or 1 cent, a year ago.

Express-1 Expedited Solutions said Chief Financial Officer David Yoder has resigned, the St. Joseph, Mich., company said.
