ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems Americas announced the first delivery of Navistar International LT series trucks equipped with its Wabco Maxxus L2.0 air disc brakes.

The delivery was made to refrigerated carrier Schuster Co.

“The benefits of air disc brakes have long been recognized by the commercial vehicle industry for their shorter stopping distances and consistent braking performance,” said Julien Plenchette, vice president of ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems Americas. “As the lightest truck air disc brake in the North American market, MAXXUS L2.0 is designed with fewer parts and includes features that can provide faster serviceability, helping support vehicle uptime.”

Schuster Co. is a 65-year-old family-owned company based in northwest Iowa. It has 450 tractors and more than 1,000 trailers delivering more than 250,000 tons of freight annually across the lower 48 United States and parts of Canada.

It began taking delivery of 100 Wabco Maxxus-equipped trucks in January 2021.
