RC Worldwide boosted its second-quarter earnings guidance Wednesday to a range of $1.53 to $1.58 per share, up from its previous guidance of $1.45 to $1.50.
The guidance excludes estimated costs of 4 cents a share related to reorganization expenses and gains on property disposals. Including those costs, earnings will be $1.49 to $1.54, the company said.
YRC said it will update its full-year guidance when it announces its second-quarter results in late July.
“In our view the economy is still healthy, and while our business volumes and cost management remain on track, pricing has been slightly better than we originally expected,” said Bill Zollars, YRC’s chairman and chief executive officer.
YRC, parent of less-than-truckload carriers Yellow Transportation, Roadway Corp. and YRC Regional Transportation, is ranked No. 3 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of North American for-hire carriers.
