YRC Worldwide Inc. said Sept. 20 that Jeff Rogers, who was president of YRC Freight, has left the company and that his duties will be assumed by YRC Worldwide CEO James Welch.

“I want to thank Jeff for his service at . . . YRC Freight,” Welch said in a brief statement. The statement did not say why Rogers left the company.

Less-than-truckload carrier YRC Worldwide said last month that it had narrowed its second-quarter net loss but that its operating income slipped from the same period a year ago as it completed streamlining of its national LTL network.

YRC Worldwide is ranked No. 5 on the Transport Topics Top 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
