Yokohama Tire Names New President

Tanaka will succeed Takao Oishi, who has led the company since April 2008, Fullerton, Calif.-based Yokohama said Tuesday.

Tanaka had been with Yokohama’s Tokyo-based parent company, Yokohama Rubber Co. Ltd., since 1982, where he headed up several corporate departments.

Tanaka was also named president of Yokohama Corp. of America and president of Yokohama Corp. of North America.

Oishi will return to Japan as general manager of Yokohama’s industrial products group, the company said.
