Yellow Roadway Says Its CEO May Exercise Stock Options

ess-than-truckload carrier Yellow Roadway Corp. said Monday that Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Bill Zollars adopted a stock trading plan under which up to 117,860 of the 272,325 stock options he holds may be sold.

Zollars' plan — in accordance with Rule 10b5-1 of the Securities Act of 1934 — is a component of his overall tax and financial planning strategy, Yellow Roadway said in a statement.

Under the plan’s provisions, Zollars' ownership of 134,360 shares will be unaffected, the company said.

Yellow Roadway is ranked No. 3 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
