Xata Reports Loss in Fiscal 2Q

Transportation software firm Xata Corp. said it lost $402,000, or 23 cents per share, in its fiscal second quarter, compared with a profit of $91,000, or 5 cents, a year ago.

Revenue increased 7.2% in the fiscal quarter ended March 31 to $18.1 million, with a 35% increase in software revenue, the company said.



Software gross margins grew slightly to 73%, compared with 71% in the previous year.

Xata said it acquired 42 new customers in the quarter.
