Xata Loss Narrows in Third Quarter

Transportation software firm Xata Corp. said Wednesday it lost $62,000, or 1 cent per share, in its fiscal third quarter, compared with a loss of $712,000, or 8 cents, a year ago.

Revenue increased 9% in the fiscal quarter ended June 30 to $17.6 million, with a 22% increase in software revenue, the company said.

Xata said it acquired six new customers in the quarter.
