Wal-Mart’s March Sales Rise at Lowest Level in a Year

al-Mart Stores said its same-store sales rose 1.4% in March, the smallest gain in a year, it said Thursday.

Wal-Mart had forecast a 1% to 3% gain for the month.

The nation’s largest retailer predicted its April year-over-year sales will rise 4% to 6%.

Wal-Mart is ranked No. 2 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of North American private carriers.
