Wabco Holdings said it earned a profit of $79.5 million in the third quarter, or $1.26 a share, compared with $66.3 million, or $1.02, a year ago.
Wabco Vehicle Control Systems makes electronic braking, stability, suspension and transmission-automation systems for heavy-duty commercial vehicles.
“We demonstrated our continued ability to outperform a sluggish global market. Indeed, Wabco’s sales increased 13.4% year-on-year, boosted by record quarterly aftermarket revenues excluding foreign currency translation effects,” Wabco CEO Jacques Esculier said in a statement.
Third-quarter sales increased 15.1% to $677.1 million.
