Volvo’s North American Deliveries Rise 22% in August

Volvo Group’s North American heavy-duty truck deliveries rose 22% in August from the same month last year, the company reported Sept. 18.

Deliveries of its Volvo and Mack brands rose to 3,895 trucks from 3,164 a year ago, Gothenberg, Sweden-based Volvo said in a statement.

Volvo-brand truck deliveries rose 31% to 2,246 trucks, and Mack’s rose 13% to 1,649.

Year to date, Volvo brand trucks are up 39% in North America to 21,709, and Mack’s are up 22% to 14,839.



Worldwide heavy-duty truck deliveries for all Volvo brands declined 8% to 10,284 units for August. Year to date, they are up 8% to 109,695.

Volvo Group consists of Volvo Trucks, Mack Trucks and the Eicher, UD Trucks and Renault Trucks brands.
