Volvo Trucks to Lay Off More Workers in Virginia
Volvo Trucks North America will lay off more than 400 employees at its Dublin,Va., plant in mid-February, bringing the total layoffs at the facility to 800 and dropping employment at the plant to about 2,400 workers.
The company’s U.S. headquarters is in Greensboro, N.C.

Volvo’s engine assembly facility in Salem, Va. is not affected by the decision.

The announcement came despite a recent increase in orders for the truck maker and may be followed by more layoffs, according to a labor union.
