Volvo Says Engines Can Meet Idling Rule

Volvo Trucks North America said its heavy-duty engines can now be equipped with an option to meet California’s anti-idling restrictions.

VTNA said it was making available a low nitrogen-oxide component as an option for its D11, D13 and D16 engines.

Trucks in California cannot idle for more than five minutes if the engines emit pollutants above a certain level.
