Volvo, Commercial Vehicle Group Enter Into Development Partnership

Commercial Vehicle Group Inc. said Thursday it had entered into a partnership with Volvo to build a seating platform for commercial trucks.

The modular seating platform will be aimed at both medium- and heavy-duty trucks and “will be designed to satisfy ever increasing global expectations for safety, ergonomics and durability,” the New Albany, Ohio, parts company said.

CVG said the partnership would launch in Europe before expanding to Volvo’s other production sites.
