Visteon Posts First-Quarter Profit

Vehicle parts manufacturer Visteon Corp. posted a first-quarter profit, improving upon the loss it experienced during the same time in 2012.

The Van Buren Township, Mich., component manufacturer said Thursday it earned $84 million, or $1.34 a share, on quarterly revenue of $1.86 billion.

In the 2012 quarter, Visteon lost $11 million, or 62 cents a share, on revenue of $1.71 billion.

Visteon said sales were higher due to new business in Asia and North America.
