Utility Trailer Manufacturing Co. is providing roll-stability protection as a standard feature on its 3000R base model refrigerated trailer, using Bendix Commercial Vehicle Systems technology.

The trailer manufacturer, based in City of Industry, California, said it is the first manufacturer to offer roll stability as standard on a refrigerated trailer model.

“Trailer roll-stability systems can dramatically improve a fleet’s safety, and we believe that the technology is ready to begin integrating this specification as a standard and not as an optional feature,” said Craig Bennett, Utility’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.

The component will be included on equipment orders beginning in January.

Utility said the Bendix TABS-6 Advanced package includes anti-lock braking in conjunction with trailer sensors to prevent rollovers. It is being offered with single-channel and optional multichannel configurations.
