UTi Worldwide’s 3Q Profit Improves

Air and ocean freight forwarder UTi Worldwide said Thursday its fiscal third-quarter profit rose 14% to $34.9 million or 35 cents a share, from $30.5 million or 31 cents a year ago.

Revenue jumped 25% to $1.2 billion for the fiscal quarter ended Oct. 31, the company said. Net revenue rose 24% to $391 million.

The company’s UTi Integrated Logistics division is ranked No. 24 on the Transport Topics Logistics 50 listing of U.S. and Canadian logistics companies.
