USPack, a same-day, final-mile delivery company, announced it had completed its brand integration of specialty same-day delivery provider Fleetgistics. The move is the latest in USPack’s efforts to develop its national network, according to a November press release.
As part of the integration, three divisions of Fleetgistics — previously called Partsfleet, Scriptfleet and Medifleet — will be called USPackParts, USPackScript and USPackMed, respectively. Additionally, USPack will establish a division called USPacke.com to reflect a focus on same-day delivery solutions for e-commerce.
“Delivery is no longer simply a transportation function,” USPack CEO Jim Van Leenen said. “It’s become a critical part of the brand promise for many existing and prospective customers, and we’re doing everything we can to help them compete.”
Founded in 1986, USPack manages more than 1 million deliveries accounting for more than 5 million parcels monthly. In the past two years, it has acquired and integrated multiple companies, including Best Transportation Services and JS Logistics. It has more than quadrupled in size in the past five years, according to the press release.
USPack is a platform company of NewSpring Holdings, which focuses on control buyouts and platform builds. NewSpring was founded in 1999 and manages about $1.7 billion across strategies that include growth equity, control buyouts and mezzanine debt.
