USF Names DiStasio President, CEO
Richard DiStasio has been named president and chief executive officer of USF Corp., effective Sept. 15.
DiStasio was most recently CEO of the Martin-Brower Co., a global distribution services company that was the largest provider of supply chain management services to McDonald's worldwide restaurant chain.
USF, based in Chicago, provides less-than-truckload, truckload and logistics services.
Samuel Skinner retired as chairman and CEO of the company in May. USF said in a statement that DiStasio would be named to the board of directors, but it did not name a new chairman.
USF earned $8.1 million or 30 cents per share in its fiscal second quarter ended July 5, compared with $5.9 million or 22 cents a year ago. The 2002 second quarter ended June 29.
USF is ranked No. 10 on the 2003 Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
