USA Truck’s Earnings Rise to Record in First Quarter

ruckload carrier USA Truck said Thursday its first-quarter net income rose to $3.4 million or 30 cents a share, from $2.7 million or 29 cents a year earlier.

The earnings were a record for a first quarter, the carrier said in a statement.

Revenue including fuel surcharges rose to $114.2 million from $101 million.

USA Truck is ranked No. 62 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
