USA Truck Boosts Increased 2Q Profit; Revenue Hits Record

ruckload carrier USA Truck Inc. reported second-quarter net income of $4.3 million or 45 cents a share, compared with $1.3 million or 14 cents a year earlier.

USA Truck said in a statement the performance was its best quarter in six years.

Operating revenue before fuel surcharges rose 9% to a record $107.4 million, the company said.

USA Truck is ranked No. 64 on the 2004 Transport Topics 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian trucking companies.
