UPS Inc. said it will add between 90,000 and 95,000 seasonal employees to support the anticipated increase in package volume that begins in November and lasts through January.

UPS ranks No. 1 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.

“We have initial volume forecasts from our customers and are starting the hiring process for our temporary holiday season jobs,” said Myron Gray, president of the parcel carrier's U.S. Operations. “We have needs for various positions on all shifts at UPS locations throughout the United States.”

The expected number of hires this year would be just below the 100,000 hired in 2014, after UPS hired 55,000 in 2013.
