Universal Express to Buy Oil and Gas Distributor

ransportation and logistics firm Universal Express said Wednesday it signed an agreement to purchase Jacksonville Oil Co., an oil and gas retailer, for $15.8 million.

The company, in Jacksonville, Fla., has eight super stations that include mini-marts and co-branding agreements.

Last year, Jacksonville Oil had in excess of $20 million in sales, and the first two quarters of this year “show a substantial increase “over last year, Universal said.
