TruNorth Introduces App for Breakdown Claims Processing

Warranty programs provider TruNorth launched an app designed to help truckers get back on the road faster after an accident.

The app pre-populates pertinent driver, repair facility and warranty-related information, which can speed up claims processing, according to Huntersville, N.C.-based TruNorth. Warranty holders who have a breakdown can use the app to begin claims processing by logging on with their last name and VIN number, then clicking several dialog boxes.

The app offers access to real-time claims tracking and updates, a view of warranty coverage, the driver’s claims history, the capability to download a signed warranty contract, a location-based system that helps drivers find a nearby approved repair shop, contact information for claims reps, and quick log in and start up features.

The app is available for both iOS and Android platforms and can be downloaded through iTunes or Google Play.

TruNorth offers component coverage of engines and transmissions, along with turbo and emissions programs for trucks up to 10 years old. Clients include fleets, drivers, dealers and finance companies.
