Trucker Tools Raises $4.4 Million in Series A Funding

Trucker Tools LLC, a Reston, Va.-based company that provides carrier capacity management and predictive freight-matching solutions, said on July 12 it has raised $4.4 million in Series A funding from its existing investors to support customer acquisition and product development.

Trucker Tools also said its mobile app for drivers integrates with a smartphone’s GPS software to capture in real time precise location data, which is then transmitted over Trucker Tools’ confidential, secure network. The platform is designed to help brokers and carriers match loads with available trucks far more efficiently and reliably.

The company said Trucker Tools also recently reached 100,000 unique carriers active on its network, which is made up of primarily operators with fleets of 20 trucks or fewer.
