Truck Stop Owners Caught Gambling

Luck ran out for two truck stop owners in Michigan busted for illegal gambling.

Daniel Lee Millisor and David Chris Millisor were charged April 12 with running an unlicensed gambling operation at Don’s Windmill Truck Stop in Dimondale, Mich.

According to state Attorney General Jennifer Granholm, the defendants were using video gambling machines at the truck stop. Granholm claims that the men collected more than $260,000 between April 1997 and August 1998, when the machines were seized by Michigan State Police.

"The laws of this state make very clear that gambling is allowed only in a very few situations where a license has been issued and appropriate regulations are followed," said Granholm.

The men could face up to 10 years in prison and a $100,000 fine if convicted.
