Trimac Reports First-Quarter Profit, Revenue Increase

anadian transportation firm Trimac Income Fund Friday reported it earned C$3.7 million or 7.2 cents per unit in the first quarter, compared with C$1.7 million or 3 cents a year earlier.

The previous year’s quarter was for Feb. 25 through March 31, the period in which it began operating.

Revenue rose to C$85 million from C$73.2 million a year ago. Trucking accounted for C$76.2 million of this year’s first-quarter revenue and logistics revenue was C$4.4 million, the company said.
