Equipment provider Transport Services Inc. acquired Tra-Serv, which offers sales, rental and leasing, parts and service throughout Ohio and the surrounding areas.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Tra-Serv is headquartered in Columbus and has offered trailer and tractor repair and service for 50 years. The acquisition will expand Tra-Serv’s customer offerings to include leasing and rental as well as sales of new Hyundais and various types of used equipment, according to a Jan. 16 press release.
“We are extremely excited to welcome Tra-Serv to the Transport Services family,” company President Adam Therrien said. “Together we will be a force in the transportation industry.”
In 1976, Transport Services was established as a sales-only semi-trailer dealer, which added parts and services divisions in the early 1980s to meet customer demands. Its North Royalton, Ohio, campus sits on more than 30 acres and includes 18 service bays and a 10,000-square-foot parts warehouse. The company maintains a rental fleet of more than 2,000 trailers. — Transport Topics
