Transport Industries Changes Name to Greatwide Logistics Services

ransport Industries Holdings has changed its name to Greatwide Logistics Services and put in place a new management team, the company said Tuesday.

The Dallas company was formed in 2000 when Fenway Partners, a New York-based private equity firm with more than $1.4 billion in funds under management, acquired Transport Industries.

Transport Industries, which said it is on track to post 2005 revenue of $1 billion, ranked No. 40 on the 2005 Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.

The company operates in the truckload management and brokerage, distribution logistics and warehousing sectors.
