TransForce Reports Gains in 4Q Income, Revenue

Canadian transportation firm TransForce Income Fund said Monday it earned C$55.1 million or 64 cents a share in the fourth quarter, up from C$35.9 million or 47 cents a year earlier. Fourth-quarter revenue rose 9% to C$456.8 million from a year earlier, the company said in a statement. For the year, TransForce earned C$151 million or C$1.78 a share, up from C$147.3 million or C$1.97 a year earlier. Revenue rose 21% to C$1.8 billion, a record. The company announced its acquisition of Westfreight Systems and Westfreight Holdings (U.S.A.) earlier this year. (Click here for previous coverage.)
