Transflo, a Pegasus TransTech company, introduced Transflo Trailer Tracking, a solar-powered device that integrates into the Transflo Mobile+ platform. It is intended to give fleet managers near real-time communications and GPS-based tracking of trailers, containers and other assets.

At 10.3 × 3.5 × 1.2 inches, the telematics unit, manufactured by Flex, uses little space and attaches to the trailer or other asset with just four rivets, screws or bolts. The solar cell and large backup battery can provide virtually uninterrupted, untethered power, according to the Tampa, Fla.-based company.
