Transervice Logistics, Prairie Farms Dairy Agree to Contract Maintenance Deal

Transervice Logistics, a customized transportation service provider, has announced that it has entered into an on-site dedicated contract maintenance agreement with Prairie Farms Dairy, one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the Midwest, at its bottling plant in Somerset, Ky.

A Transervice maintenance manager and two technicians will be responsible for maintaining some 60 power units at the facility, including tractors, straight trucks and refrigerated trailers.

The plant is undergoing a $5 million, 6,000-square-foot expansion in its bottling and receiving areas.

“Transervice has always been focused on one-to-one relationships, making it easy to meet the distinct needs of a partner like Prairie Farms,” Wolfgang Marschhauser, Transervice senior vice president of sales, said per a Dec. 3 press release.

Prairie Farms Dairy has 6,000 employees, with more than 800 farm families, 44 manufacturing plants and more than 100 distribution facilities. It pulls in annual sales of more than $3 billion and is headquartered in Illinois.

Transervice Logistics is headquartered in New York, maintaining more than 124 regional and local facilities across North America. It manages more than 25,000 pieces of equipment.
