Trailer Bridge Reports Second-Quarter Loss

Trailer Bridge Inc. reported a second-quarter loss of $3.6 million, or 30 cents a share, compared with net income of $900,000, or 7 cents, a year ago.

Revenue slipped to $29 million, from $31.7 million, the company said in a statement. It added that its refinancing efforts were ongoing.

Its operating loss was $1.1 million, compared with operating income of $3.4 million in the prior-year period and an $8 million operating loss in the first quarter.

Trailer Bridge provides integrated trucking, intermodal and marine freight services, including a core twice-weekly service to Puerto Rico and service to the Dominican Republic.
