LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Specialty trailer manufacturer Trail King introduced a new product in its Materials Hauling Series at the Mid-America Trucking show here March 26. The prototype Steel End dump trailer is designed to haul sand, gravel, demolition or rip rap.

The trailer features abrasion-resistant steel and inverted angle top rail and a high lift gate. The company said it has a low center of gravity, which it said improves stability. A 24-inch flat floor design gives it an increased payload.

“Trail King has never been a company that shies away from filling a need that the market demands,” said Rick Farris, Trail King’s sales and marketing vice president. “Extensive research has determined that the Steel End Dump is an essential component of the materials hauling industry’s current needs. Now, Trail King offers a complete line of products to our customers that support specific markets and varying regulatory requirements.”

Trail King showed five other models from its line of specialized trailers: a lowboy construction equipment hauler with a hydraulic detachable gooseneck; a live-bottom asphalt distributor; the agriculture industry’s best companion for hauling feed and seed; a continuous belt live-bottom trailer for agricultural applications, such as hauling feed, seed, fertilizer and other high-volume products; an aluminum gooseneck lowboy; and a hydraulic double-drop extendable trailer.
