TNT’s Second-Quarter Income Rises 10.7%

etherlands-based logistics firm TNT NV’s second-quarter earnings before interest and tax rose 10.7% to 342 million euros, Reuters reported Monday.

img src="/sites/default/files/images/articles/tntlogo.gif" width=100 align=right> TNT raised its guidance on its mail operating margin for this year to 18.5% from 18%, and said it forecast its express operating margin at the high end of a 9% to 9.5% range, Reuters reported.

The company also said it expected to sell its logistics business, which has a book value of about 1.15 billion euros, by the end of the third quarter, Reuters said. (Click here for previous coverage.)
