TMC Eyes Speedier Format For Fleets’ Warranty Claims

INCINNATI — A new electronic format to simplify and speed up trucking fleets’ warranty claims to their suppliers could be in place as early as next year, industry representatives said this week.
The new system would blend existing components of the American Trucking Associations Technology and Maintenance Council’s Vehicle Maintenance Reporting Standards with a new TMC-developed universal claim format, said Donald Myers, director of quality assurance for Haldex Brake Products Corp.
