Tennessee Trucking Association Names New President

The Tennessee Trucking Association said it named David Huneryager as its new president, ending a more than four-month search.

Huneryager, a former TTA chairman and member of the association board of directors, was previously a district manager for Roadway Express, the state group said in its announcement.

“I am excited and honored about my continued involvement and my new role with the association,” Huneryager said in a release.

Andrea Hayes, TTA vice president said that Huneryager started in his new role on Monday, but a July 14 fire at TTA headquarters delayed the announcement until this week.

TTA had been looking for a president since March when Chris Burruss left the group to takeover as the chief executive at the Truckload Carriers Association.
