OXON HILL, Md. — Several technology vendors announced deeper integrations with McLeod Software’s products last week in conjunction with the company’s 2014 user conference here.

• Fleets using Omnitracs’ MCP50, MCP110 and MCP200 in-cab devices and McLeod’s LoadMaster Enterprise product now can utilize an enhanced integration for Omnitracs’ Driver Workflow application to better manage load assignments, the companies said.

Omnitracs and McLeod also announced an integration to provide optimized fuel stops along planned routes.

• Onboard computing provider PeopleNet announced an enhancement that enables users of McLeod’s LoadMaster software to automatically add driver profile information directly to their PeopleNet Fleet Manager account, eliminating the need for double data entry and saving time for fleet management staff.

• XRS Corp. unveiled a new integration with McLeod that allows its mobile fleet-management platform to feed data such as hours-of-service, vehicle locations, and arrival and departure information directly into LoadMaster.

• ALK Technologies said the latest version of its routing, mileage and mapping software, PC Miler 28, has been successfully tested and approved for use with McLeod’s LoadMaster and PowerBroker offerings.

The companies also offer integration of McLeod’s software with the ALK Maps interactive route visualization product.

• Spireon Inc. introduced a new feature in the integration of its FleetLocate trailer-tracking technology and McLeod’s LoadMaster software. The enhancement, known as FleetLocate Sync, enables companies to virtually sync their tractors and trailers to provide alerts if a tractor and trailer separate unexpectedly or if a driver picks up the wrong trailer.

• Transport refrigeration unit supplier Thermo King unveiled a new integration of its TracKing temperature and asset-management product with McLeod’s LoadMaster Symphony software.

The integration enables refrigerated carriers to monitor cargo temperatures, trailer locations and refrigeration unit settings throughout the dispatch process, Thermo King said.
