Sunteck Appoints Ken Forster CEO

Sunteck Transport Group, a Florida-based freight brokerage firm, said it has appointed Ken Forster its new CEO.

Forster plans to continue the company’s growth by maintaining support for its agents and investing in technology and analytics, Jacksonville-based Sunteck said in a Feb. 27 statement.

Forster was previously CEO of Velocity Express, a unit of Comvest Partners that was sold to TransForce Inc. in 2013. Since 2013, he has been an executive partner with Comvest Partners, working closely with Sunteck on growth opportunities, and has helped attract and hire key leaders to Sunteck’s management team, the company said.

“I am committed to empower this talented team and to strengthen the relationships with the entrepreneurs we support,” said Forster. “Agent growth and success are top priorities.”

Sunteck, which broker dry van, flatbed, heavy-haul and refrigerated truckload freight as well as less-than-truckload, rail/intermodal and air/expedited freight, is the 13th largest brokerage firm within the Transport Topics Logistics Top 50 listing of North American logistics firms.
