Sunbelt Rentals Acquires NationsRent Co.

unbelt Rentals has acquired NationsRent Co. in a merger, the construction equipment rental company said Friday.

The acquisition is valued at more than $1 billion and creates the nation’s third-largest equipment rental company, Sunbelt said in a release.

The combined company will maintain more than 470 locations and offer rentals, new and used equipment sales and maintenance services for customer-owned equipment, Sunbelt said.
