Smart Warehousing Expands to North Texas Site
A Kansas City, Mo.-based logistics firm with operations across the United States has leased its first North Texas location.
Smart Warehousing is taking a 269,494-square-foot block of industrial space in the AllianceTexas development in north Fort Worth.
The warehousing and fulfillment firm will occupy a spot in developer Hillwood Properties’ Alliance Center North 15 on Eagle Parkway.
“There is no better location for logistics companies in North Texas than the Alliance Corridor,” Smart Warehousing Chief Operating Officer Ed Lee said in a statement. “Hillwood had space immediately available at AllianceTexas to accommodate our current needs, and additional land and resources are accessible to us if we decide to expand in the future.”
Smart Warehousing provides warehousing, fulfillment, inventory management and distribution services in more than 30 U.S. locations in 10 states.
The company has been in business since 2001 and already has a location in Houston.
“Smart Warehousing is a great fit for AllianceTexas because it shares Hillwood’s commitment towards the creation of exceptional customer value, driven by innovation and scale,” Hillwood Vice President Reid Goetz said. “Smart Warehousing is at the leading edge of logistics and fulfillment companies that are embracing advanced technology to enhance business productivity, and it will be able to further leverage the real estate platform and operational support infrastructure already in place within AllianceTexas.”
Reid Bassinger, John Sharpe and Trey Fricke of Lee; Associates negotiated the Smart Warehousing AllianceTexas lease.
AllianceTexas is a 26,000-acre development that is home to more than 488 companies and 48,800 jobs.
