Simplified Hires Logistics Veteran as CFO

Simplified Logistics, a transportation management service company, hired Sheila Taylor, who has experience in the third-party logistics and less-than-truckload sectors, to be its chief financial officer.

Taylor worked as vice president of logistics at Sam’s Club. Before then, she was the chief financial officer at YRC Worldwide, Ceva Logistics and Menlo Logistics.

The group also hired John Centers as a sales executive. Another industry veteran, he has had previous stints at Pilot Flying J and Hub Group.

“With these hires we now have a senior leadership team at Simplified that is capable of running a much larger business, as we work to execute our acquisition strategy for the company. Sheila and John both bring to Simplified decades of experience in leadership roles in the logistics industry,” Simplified CEO Mark Yeager said.

“Simplified has an impressive business today and there is a compelling opportunity to build a leading, full-service logistics platform company through organic growth and acquisitions,” Taylor said.

Aside from transportation management services, the Westlake, Ohio-based 3PL also offers freight auditing and payment services.
