Shuster Names Missouri’s Graves to Head Highway Subcommittee

Rep. Sam Graves (R-Mo.) has been selected to head the Subcommittee on Highways and Transit of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee.

T&I Chairman Bill Shuster (R-Pa.) made the announcement Jan. 13 at the same time that he said the full committee’s vice chairman would be Rep. John J. Duncan, Jr. (R-Tenn.).

Graves replaces Tom Petri, who did not run for re-election in November.

Duncan and the subcommittee chairmen are expected to be confirmed at the T&I committee’s organizational meeting later this month, Shuster said.

Subcommittee on Aviation, Rep. Frank LoBiondo (R-N.J.); Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation, Rep. Duncan Hunter (R-Calif.); Subcommittee on Economic Development, Public Buildings and Emergency Management, Rep. Lou Barletta (R-Pa.); Subcommittee on Railroads, Pipelines and Hazardous Materials, Rep. Jeff Denham (R-Calif.); and Subcommittee on Water Resources and Environment, Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-Ohio).
