ShipX Rebranded as FreightorGator

An online based freight exchange company based out of Kansas City, Missouri is changing names. ShipX is rebranding itself and now will be called FreightorGator.

“We’re thrilled to announce our new name and brand to the transportation industry,” said Augie Grasis, CEO and founder of FreightorGator, in a statement. “ShipX was an old name representing a new idea. It is time for our name to match the mold breaking, time and cost saving online service we provide to help small businesses simplify their LTL shipping.”

Similar to other tech-based options, such as uShip, LaneHoney, and Truckerpath, FeightGator gives shippers online quotes from less than truckload carriers, challenging the traditional brokers. Once the customer enters their shipment’s size, weight, origin and destination, FreightorGator aggregates option from 25 plus LTL carriers for the customer to compare and then book their shipments.

The LTL carriers on the FreightorGator platform include YRC Worldwide, Old Dominion Freight Line and XPO Logistics.
