SCI Logistics Opens Health-Care Distribution Facility in Toronto Area

SCI Logistics said it has opened a new facility in the Toronto area to provide supply-chain services for the health-care industry.

Services offered at the new 78,000 square-foot facility include inbound inspection, segregation of material, kitting and product disposition, the third-party logistics provider said.

SCI Logistics said it will also be able to provide clients with real-time data for product storage through a warehousing management system and a temperature and humidity monitoring and control system.

Other services include coordinating third-party laboratory analytical testing, managing a retention sample program and supporting product launches, the company said.

“Adding the new facility to SCI’s network is another step in the company’s commitment to provide complete supply chain solutions to the health-care market throughout Canada,” CEO John Ferguson said in the May 12 announcement.
