Schneider launched a new digital marketplace that aims to give bulk shippers more flexibility and visibility, the carrier announced Aug. 4.

The Green Bay, Wis.-based multimodal and logistics services provider said shippers will be able to book a bulk load from their smartphone or computer. The service aims to digitize the bulk industry to take the complexity out of quoting, booking and tracking.

“We know shippers are busy, and their time is valuable,” said Jason Howe, Schneider’s senior vice president of bulk. “We are giving shippers time, independence and solutions.”

The Schneider FreightPower technology lineup will be expanded to include the new bulk-specific digital marketplace. The suite of services helps shippers of all sizes quickly find flexible capacity from a carrier through an all-in-one marketplace.

Schneider ranks No. 8 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest for-hire carriers in North America, and No. 19 on the TT list of the Top 100 largest logistics companies. — Transport Topics
