Saddle Creek Logistics Services plans to expand its warehousing and fulfillment operations in four markets, the Lakeland, Fla.-based third-party logistics provider said.

The company expects to open distribution centers in Walton, Ky., Joliet, Ill., Myerstown, Pa., and North Las Vegas, Nev., it said June 1, and as a result add in excess of 1.8 million square feet of space in the next year.

Saddle Creek ranks No. 66 on the Transport Topics Top 100 list of the largest logistics companies in North America.

Following the expansion, Saddle Creek’s distribution network will exceed 33.4 million square feet across 31 U.S. markets, it said.

“E-commerce and omnichannel retail will continue to grow, as will demand for warehousing and distribution space — particularly in strategic locations that can help to reduce transit times and ensure cost-effective deliveries to a significant percentage of the U.S. population,” said Duane Sizemore, Saddle Creek senior vice president of marketing and business development.
