Ryder Signs First Lease for Natural Gas Trucks

Ryder System said it has signed its first leasing agreement under its “Flex-to-Green” program, which offers companies the option to incorporate alternative fuel vehicles into their fleets.

The transportation and logistics company said it signed the agreement with Source Interlink Cos., a publishing and logistics company that produces and distributes magazine content. With a lease for seven diesel-powered vehicles, Source Interlink will have the option to exchange them for natural gas-powered vehicles, Ryder said.

Ryder said its Flex-to-Green program, which it launched in September, makes it easier for fleet operators to start sustainability programs.
