Rocque Dameo, President of Dameo Trucking, Dies at 78

Rocque Dameo, president of New Jersey-based Dameo Trucking, died April 11. He was 78.

Dameo served on the board of directors for the New Jersey Motor Truck Association as well as on its executive committee. He also was a past treasurer.

Dameo was a longtime member of the Tank Truck Association of America and was the American Trucking Associations’ vice president at-large emeritus.

He was a 1957 graduate of Syracuse University, earning a business transportation degree. Dameo worked at the family business in Bridgewater from graduation until he died.



He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Dorothy Mundy Dameo; sons Rocque, Rand, Jason and Blake Anthony; sisters Kathleen Dameo and Virginia Dameo Kraeutler; his brother Daniel; and nine grandchildren.
