Roadrunner Sets 6.9% Rate Increase
Following announcement by other less-than-truckload carriers, Roadrunner Transportation Systems said it will implement a 6.9% rate increase, effective July 16.
The increase will be effective for all non-contractual customers using the current U.S. and Canadian base rates, Roadrunner said in a statement.
There will be no changes to Roadrunner Transportation’s minimum charge, the company said.
LTL competitors YRC Freight, FedEx Freight and Con-way Freight all set 6.9% rate hikes, also effective in July, in the past week.
Cudahy, Wis.-based Roadrunner is ranked No. 38 on the Transport Topics 100 listing of U.S. and Canadian for-hire carriers.
